Oh me- Oh My-

Its Friday and I am exhausted amongst other things. We have been going back and forth with Insurance trying to approve a surgery procedure Called Vertebroplasy for Oscars back. He has three fractures in his spine and has been in alot of pain the last few weeks. He is unable to sleep in the bed and do much of anything. He sleeps sitting up on the couch and cannot be very active. So I am mommy to not only Talan (who is running everywhere), but Oscar as well. It is a tough ride but hopefully the Insurance company approves this..I mean afterall we do pay for it. On top of that, Oscar has an appointment with a surgeon who will be removing his adrenal glands on Aug 17th and then surgery will (fingers crossed) be scheduled soon after that and pray that Oscar will be able to get back on his feet and become active again.

Talan on the other hand is running everywhere, playing, dancing and I must not forget, eating everything. He is keeping Mommy very busy....but with his MILLION KISSES a day makes it so much better. :) :)

Myself- Well I am still just a working and am very blessed to have a wonderful job and bosses that understand whats going on in DeLaCruz Land. I keep telling myself that someone else out there has it way worst than I do but I just feel like we are way too young for this....can I trade in for a newer model? Just teasing- We will get through and be A-ok!! Lets just say a little Prayer!

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY TALAN!!

Today, June 22nd, My sweet Talanator is ONE! Time has flown by but has definately been a GREAT YEAR! Looking forward to many more. We couldn't be more blessed. He completes US!

My Loss

On my last post, I had a prayer request and I appreciate all who did so. My Papaw held on for a little bit longer and Friday, May 28th he passed and began his journey to Heaven! We all knew it would happen but really I was not prepared. My Papaw was THE BEST MAN I have ever known and will be greatly missed. So My Memorial Weekend was bittersweet, days were long and spent with my Family. My Papaw was in the Navy and was a WWII Veteran along with a few other wars and was laid to rest on Memorial Day! All of his grandkids, including us girls were paulbearers for him. What a honor that was. I have many wonderful memories with my Papaw and will always keep his memory alive! I LOVE YOU PAPAW- RIP!

On another note, Saturday the 29th we took Talan to Galveston! It was his First Trip to the beach and he absolutely loved it. We meet up with my best friend, Katie and her little family and spent a couple hours soaking up the sun and keep my mind away. We had a blast and cant wait to go again! Speaking of my Little Talan, he will be a ONE YEAR OLD on June 22nd- 20 days away. He is now standing by himself, has 5 teeth and has taken a couple steps on his own...soon he will be running everywhere. Ahhhh....where has time gone?
