The title seems fitting to my life lately! As you know or may not know my husband had a very invasive surgery April 4th to remove a rare form of cancer he was diagnosed with.  Surgery went great and he is home and been recovering very well. Last week
we got another phone call that the cancer cells had spread/leaked into the soft tissue around where the mass and lymph nodes were.  Because the cancer is so rare all the doctors and surgeons had to have a meeting to decide what would be the next step and best treatment. Yesterday, we had an appointment and the verdict is to do fournrounds of chemo and radiation and the same time. Due to the cancer being so rare, theybare going to treat it like small cell lung cancer because from the research they do have the neuroendocrine carcinoma cancer of the thymus mimics the small cell lung cancer. Next week Oscar goes for MRI and PET scans to see if it has spread anywhere else, then ifneverything looksnokay he will start treatment the following week. Sonwith all the things going on in my life All things are precious to me.

News...

As of yesterday it has been two weeks since Oscars surgery and well he is up and moving very well! If you were to see him you would never know he just had the invasive surgery that he had. I'm so proud of him.

Another note, we had a consultation with a radiation oncologists and well.....all 8 lymph nodes they removed and the mass on his thymus that was removed, the pathology came back and they were all cancer. They believe that the cells were leaking into the surrounding tissue as well. So now all the doctors and surgeon that have been involved will meet with a medical oncologists to discuss further treatment. Meaning- radiation and chemotherapy. Do they do one ore the other? At the same time? Because this case is so rare a lot of research is to be done to ensure the best outcome! Now we just sit and wait for the phone call. Please continue prayers because our story is still not over. Thank you.

Oh and I can't forget my birthday is Tuesday, the 24th and Ill be 27!! Yay! Is it weird that it doesn't bother me that I am getting older?! Night night friend.

We are home

Yesterday we came home from the hospital and Oscar seems to be doing well. I stayed home from work today bc I was or still am so tired. I just need some good sleep. Between Talan being home and Oscar needing my attention I am being pulled every direction. All I hear is babe or mom, momma....but that's okay whatever I have to do I will do it if it means making my family stronger! This morning, Oscar is hurting a little more and nauseas so hopefully he starts to feel better soon. Tonight we will take the dressing from where the chest tubes were off  and he will get a shower. I know that will make him feel better in general! Again, thanks again for all the prayers and support. It sure means a lot to me.
