Update

I have been super busy lately, so I haven't had time to actually sit and blog. So here is an update on whats been going on.....
- Oscar started Chemo on May 14th and had a 3 day course treatment along with continuing radiation 2x a day.
- He has completed his first round of chemo and starts the second round June 4th.
- He continues radiation until May 31st and hopefully will be done with that.
- He has experienced some vomiting, tiredness, acid reflux and some irritation with his throat.
- WE are getting through this together.:) 

He does have 3 more Chemo treatments all spaced within 3 weeks of each of them so he gets a little break. He is staying in good spirits and we are extremely blessed with great family and friends.

Another reason I have been so busy is I have been potty training Talan. He will be 3 in June and I just decided about 6 weeks ago that I wasn't buying diapers anymore and I must say I am so PROUD of this little guy. He has amazed me and has done so well. Advice to mommys- don't push it and its okay to wait a little while. I believe because he is a little bit older that It has helped with his attention span and focusing. I am proud to say he is officially potty trained with the exception of a pull up at night that stays dry!!

Thats just a little recap of things going on in my world. Hope everyone else is doing well too!

The small things..

My husband and our family have been on a rough journey lately and I am so grateful and blessed with all the kind words and support I have received. Thank you all to my family,  friends and even people I have never met. It's truly amazing how kind people can be.


A few fellow blog friends are especially  special to me. I want to give a special thanks to Chelsea and Tricia! I received a necklace made by Tricia, http://keierleber.blogspot.com/,  and it is so sweet and PERFECT! She sent me a personalized hand stamped necklace with all the most important dates and names on it. I love it. She is starting her business, so go check it out. Thank you again I love the necklace and it means a lot!


Also, thank you to Chelsea,http://thesals.blogspot.com/,  she sent me a card I got yesterday and It Def put a smile on my face. The kind words and sweetness is amazing. Her husband has fought his way through cancer and is cancer free! I am so lucky that she has reached out to me because she has been in my shoes and can relate. Thank you again Chelsea.

Today my husband has already started his radiation treatment. First round almost compete. He is having radiation twice a day, everyday for three weeks and starts his first round of chemo Monday! Please continue the support and prayers! Thanks again everyone. We are so thankful.

Precious Jewels

The title seems fitting to my life lately! As you know or may not know my husband had a very invasive surgery April 4th to remove a rare form of cancer he was diagnosed with.  Surgery went great and he is home and been recovering very well. Last week
we got another phone call that the cancer cells had spread/leaked into the soft tissue around where the mass and lymph nodes were.  Because the cancer is so rare all the doctors and surgeons had to have a meeting to decide what would be the next step and best treatment. Yesterday, we had an appointment and the verdict is to do fournrounds of chemo and radiation and the same time. Due to the cancer being so rare, theybare going to treat it like small cell lung cancer because from the research they do have the neuroendocrine carcinoma cancer of the thymus mimics the small cell lung cancer. Next week Oscar goes for MRI and PET scans to see if it has spread anywhere else, then ifneverything looksnokay he will start treatment the following week. Sonwith all the things going on in my life All things are precious to me.
