Am I the only one?

The last couple of days I have been thinking a lot about this post and if I should even post is but I am just so I will feel better.
So, we all have friends and family but do any of you ever feel like some of them or maybe all of them, don't cherish the friendship y'all have or just the relationship? I mean yea we all are guilty of not making time for them all but I try! I send text, emails and occasionally phone calls to them to simple say hi and let them know I am thinking of them. Do they return it as often as I try? Nope. And that really gets to me. These people are special to me and I know we, well most of us have families and are grown ups now but life shouldn't get that busy to just forget!  Example- I deactivated my Facebook account a couple months ago and since then I have had some friends on there email and text me to see how my family and I are doing. And these people aren't like my best friends just friends I have kept up with thelast couple of years though Facebook....now they made time to make the effort and sometimes I feel like my family or my closest friends can't do that! Point is is that I don't like this feeling. Do these people truly value or friendships and relationships? Do they really care how my husband or my son are doing?  Or do they even care for me to let me know they love me? I have my doubts!
Sometimes I think maybe I should not worry about it and just let it be Us 3?! Afterall I will always know my son and my husband love and care for me....is that all I need?
Life gets hectic and busy, I know as I am a working mother and wife but please friends call, txt or just shoot your friends and family an email and just let them know u care and you think of them.  I often find more comfort in my blogging friends...I don't know you all but I sure feel like I do and it makes me feel a little better about this posts! Anyhow, we all should just slow down every now and then and make a little effort.  Am I the only one who feels this way??

No I know what you mean. I have one friend in particular- now I know she is busy because she has 2 kids under 2 but I try ALL the time to schedule lunch dates, dinner... and it's like she can never, ever, ever do it. I know it has got to be hard, but I'm just like, really? You can't get away for one night two weeks from now to grab dinner? I wonder if these people just take for granted that you will call them and don't think about making the effort themselves...

What I find often is the fact that I have a blog makes it very easy for people to keep up with me without me even knowing they are checking in on me. Don't get down...you're right, what matters most is your little family that you have made.
